We are currently recruiting for a Senior Engineer to join one of Ireland's leading main construction contractors. This is a key appointment for a major project currently underway in Dublin.
Key Responsibilities:
Review designs for buildability, maintain a schedule of issues, and provide mitigation solutions throughout the project.
Coordinate and chase design information to ensure the construction team has all required details on time.
Take full ownership of dimensional control, setting out, and primary control on site.
Manage all temporary works within your scope (including managing the Temporary Works Coordinator).
Develop and manage Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), carry out inspections/audits, and enforce quality standards.
Review and approve method statements and risk assessments, with particular focus on high-risk activities.
Monitor the project programme (design, procurement & construction) and proactively identify risks and opportunities.
Challenge designs where possible to deliver commercial and programme benefits.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to site engineers and ensure adequate engineering resources.
Attend design and services coordination meetings and ensure full integration of building services.
Identify and report any commercial or programme risks/events promptly to the Project Manager.
Maintain detailed records and diaries for yourself and your team.
Support subcontractor account close-outs and compile lessons learned throughout the project.
Ensure full compliance with health & safety, quality systems, and company procedures.
Manage performance, training, and development of assigned engineering staff.
