We are currently recruiting for a Regulatory Toxicologist at Managing Scientist level based in our Harrogate office in the UK.ResponsibilitiesProviding high quality technical, scientific, and regulatory advice, including formulation of regulatory toxicology strategyLeading within science areas within toxicologyPlanning and executing toxicology programmes including study design and monitoringProject managing and delivering finished documents to support registrations in Europe and a range of other countriesTraining and development of junior members of the toxicology teamLine managing junior staffBuilding and developing successful client relationshipsActively marketing your expertise and identifying potential new opportunities for ExponentSkills & QualificationsA minimum of a BSc in chemistry, biology or closely related field with a strong preference for a professional qualification or higher degree in toxicologyKnowledge and experience of European regulatory frameworks relating to plant protection products, industrial chemicals, food or consumer productsExperience working with guidance documents (e.g., endocrine disruptors, groundwater, impurities, dermal absorption) concerning the application of European pesticides regulationProven experience of data interpretation and problem solving, gained in a relevant industryDesirable SkillsRecognized authority in one or more of the following areas: reproductive and developmental toxicity, endocrinology, carcinogenicity, QSAR or genotoxicityAwareness of the evolution of future regulatory policy especially in EuropeFamiliarity with OECD test guidelines, and the principles of GLP, study placement and study monitoringExperience of hazard classification under CLPExperience with assembling and writing submission dossiers for Europe and JMPRExperience working within regulatory frameworks in regions other than EuropeEvidence of and aptitude for networking (e.g., with external experts, business managers, representation on industry or inter‑agency task forces, committee membership in a professional society, contacts across industry)Experience of working in a team environment especially multi-disciplinary and geographically dispersed project teamsExperience of business developmentApplicants are encouraged to submit a CV (Curriculum Vitae) with publications (feel free to include publications that are in review or pending).
