Our Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a Project Manager to lead the delivery and transformation of complex capital projects, with a focus on operational readiness and Lean-driven continuous improvement.
This role ensures that projects—from design and construction through commissioning and start-up—are delivered with predictability, efficiency, and right-first-time operational readiness.
You will integrate Lean principles, operational excellence frameworks, and structured project management to improve reliability, flow, and productivity across all project phases.
This position is ideal for an analytical, delivery-focused professional who can work with senior stakeholders, facilitate cross-functional teams, and translate Lean thinking into measurable outcomes that enable successful facility start-ups.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
Lead project management maturity assessments and delivery improvement initiatives across workstream transitioning to GMP operations.
Identify risks, inefficiencies, and constraints affecting schedule adherence, batch readiness, compliance, and operational performance.
Develop and implement execution strategies aligned with schedule, safety, regulatory compliance, and product quality objectives.
Facilitate project governance and coordination forums.
Lean Strategy & Operational Excellence
Lead Lean maturity assessments and operational excellence initiatives across projects and programmes.
Identify waste, variability, and constraints impacting flow, productivity, and schedule performance.
Develop and implement continuous improvement roadmaps aligned with project goals: cost, schedule, safety, quality, and productivity.
Facilitate Lean workshops, including Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Kaizen events, 5S, A3 problem-solving, and standard work design.
Embed visual management systems, SOPs, tiered meeting structures, and escalation routines to support predictable delivery.
Operational Readiness & Start-up Management
Manage workstreams within the Operational Readiness program, including Production, Quality Control Labs, Material Operations, and other critical areas.
Lead cross-functional teams to deliver readiness objectives, drive progress, and proactively remove roadblocks.
Ensure clear communication and alignment between stakeholders to meet scope, timeline, and quality targets.
Support facility start-up activities including process validation, ramp-up planning, and readiness execution.
Forecast and manage resource requirements across integrated plans to prevent delivery risks.
Planning Integration & Schedule Reliability
Partner with planning teams to translate Lean and readiness initiatives into schedule improvements.
Support structured planning practices: phase planning, lookahead planning, constraint management, and readiness reviews.
Monitor schedule quality, decision-making, and workface reliability.
Metrics, Reporting & Performance Management
Define and implement with planning team delivery metrics for reporting.
Translate performance drivers into actionable project metrics.
Ensure data quality and reporting cadence to enable leadership to make faster, informed decisions.
Stakeholder Leadership & Change Enablement
Build strong relationships with project leadership, operations, engineering, and site teams.
Facilitate decision-making under tight deadlines, ensuring priorities are understood and acted upon.
Coach teams and stakeholders in Lean principles, operational excellence frameworks, and readiness practices to sustain improvements.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Operational excellence and project delivery leader with experience in complex capital projects.
Strong Lean expertise combined with hands-on knowledge of operational readiness and start-up processes.
Confident facilitating workshops, influencing senior stakeholders, and driving measurable improvement outcomes.
Experienced in integrating project planning, metrics, and dashboards to support performance visibility.
