Overview
Opportunity for a Mechanical Lead to join the Life Science team in Cork.
Reporting to the Regional Director/Regional MEP Lead, the MEP Lead has responsibility for the delivery of MEP systems across designated large and/or multiple smaller scale projects that are on time, on budget, and meet the company's Zero objectives of safety, quality, and energy.
It is equally important to guide, lead, and motivate teams in applying our MEP management systems to deliver fully integrated and commissioned MEP systems that meet design and statutory requirements, leading to seamless handover and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities
* Support the tender and award of MEP packages in accordance with project pre-construction and procurement strategies.
* Ensure temporary electrical requirements, including load and energy assessments, align with Management System Guidelines.
* Take responsibility for MEP integration and project delivery as part of the overall project team.
* Manage MEP elements in accordance with Building Services Management Procedures and Project Execution Plans (PEP).
* Align and integrate finalization of Building Services Installation and Commissioning programmes with the main construction programme.
* Engage with utility companies from the outset to understand, communicate, and adhere to infrastructural and interface requirements.
* Ensure MEP contractor's co-ordination and builders works drawings are approved and meet programme requirements.
Experience
* Over 6 years of experience managing large-scale, complex MEP projects.
* Understanding of the MEP supply chain market and dynamics.
* Operational involvement in all project phases, including estimating, pre-construction, installation, commissioning, demonstration, and handover.
* Technical, interpersonal, and commercial skills to deliver MEP projects.
* Experience with handover plans, live energies/arc flash training, and BIM fundamentals.
Qualifications
* Degree in Building Services, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
* Membership of a relevant professional institution such as CIBSE, CIOB, IEI, or equivalent.
* H&S management training such as IO or equivalent.
* Planning and programming skills.
