Aughinish has a history of continuous improvement and innovation and is now considered to be a world leader in the industry.We are looking for an outstanding individual to become a core part of our DCS/ISIT Department.Main DutiesAbility to translate business and functional requirements into clear technical specifications.Support planning, scheduling, and delivery of software releases.Participate in Project Teams and report on Software Development activities as appropriate.General software & product design reviews and problem resolution.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and design new features.Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.Participate in all phases of the software solution lifecycle, including debugging, testing, and customer support.Resolve engineering challenges and address escalations effectively.Contribute to scalable, high-performance system software solutions.Discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.Other Duties And ResponsibilitiesSupport the plant regarding internal / external audits.Ensure project milestones, quality expectations, and performance targets are met.Building new features and maintaining the existing codebase.Solving real-world problems through software solutions.Flexibility will be required as other duties outside those described above may be assigned from time to time.Qualifications And ExperienceDegree (or equivalent) in Software Engineering or a related discipline.Experience with SQL Server current and previous versions.Experience developing and maintaining with .NET technologies, particularly C#, VB.NET, and ASP.NET.Experience using Visual Studio and Azure DevOps for source control.4+ years professional software engineering experience in a Microsoft environment.Strong technical capability with the confidence to work independently or with minimal supervision.A team-first mindset, strong communication skills, and a genuine sense of ownership.Essential SkillsInquisitive mindset with strong problem-solving skillsTrack record of solving real-world problems with softwareExcellent analytical ability and business acumenHighly organised with ability to deal with multiple prioritiesAbility to work on own initiativeHigh degree of innovation and creativityStrong communication skills, both written and verbalKnowledge of developing solutions for Microsoft SharePoint, Office, or Exchange would be desirableWhat We OfferWe offer a competitive remuneration package including:SalaryHealth insurancePensionOn-site gymActive sports and social clubAughinish Alumina is an equal opportunities employer.Think that this is for you?
