Job Summary:
This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a skilled Water Treatment Plant Technician to join our team. As a key member of the Utilities department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all water treatment plant process steps and utilities systems on site.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintenance support for the water treatment plant and central utilities, including boreholes and mains water supply/mains LV electrical supply/gas supply/compressed air network system/steam generator/CHP unit/back-up generators/asset protection system/fire alarm system/ gas and CO detection system/ BMS/EV charging stations/lighting systems/HVAC system
2. Observe all safety and compliance procedures and actively highlight any safety concerns to help drive the reduction of accidents or near misses
3. Assist the Health Safety team in carrying out risk assessments of new and existing machines and ensuring training is rolled out to the Maintenance Team
4. Recognize and report to immediate Manager any facility, utility, process, or equipment anomalies and/or deviations from accepted standards
5. Manage and support the Utilities Lead Technician on all service contracts for the WWTP and site utilities, liaising with contractors during site visits
6. Complete and conform to all training requirements for job role, including company-required and role-specific training
7. Ensure Preventive Maintenance software systems (Pemac) is managed and up to date with contractors' information and utilities service reports
8. Lead multiple Cap Ex projects across the site
9. Provide technical input into system optimisation, equipment development and new equipment selection for Cap Ex projects
10. Provide status updates on maintenance activities and operational challenges according to defined procedures
11. Seek process innovation and continuous process improvement in overall plant areas eg. Science Based Targets (GHG emissions reduction)
12. Ensure corrective action is taken, as required, for all equipment and operational problems to drive continuous improvement in the plant
13. Develop/update SOP's /OPL's as required for WWTP and utilities operations
14. Co-ordinate and manage scheduled shutdown activities on utilities and WWTP plant equipment

Requirements:
We are looking for a skilled technician with the following qualifications and experience:
1. Skilled in mechanical discipline
2. Experienced in all types of welding
3. Experience with managing Cap Ex Projects from start to completion
4. Experience with Medium and Low Voltage electrical systems including testing and inspection is desirable
