Senior Tax AccountantLocation: Limerick, IrelandCategory: Business Support FunctionsType: Full TimeExperience: SeniorLanguage: EnglishWe’re looking for a Senior Tax Accountant to join the International Tax Team and play a key role in the coordination and governance of international tax compliance for the Group's Irish and overseas entities. This role is suited to a technically strong, commercially aware, and tech‑forward tax professional who is comfortable owning core tax deliverables while also championing automation and the use of AI tools to improve efficiency and scalability.Key ResponsibilitiesReview & Technical Oversight: Review VAT and corporation tax calculations prepared by team members, ensuring technical accuracy and consistency with legislation and group policy. Provide technical guidance and feedback to preparers, supporting quality improvement and knowledge development within the team. Perform high‑level analytical reviews, validations, and reconciliation checks prior to submission. Ensure that supporting documentation and audit trails are robust and filing ready.Compliance Coordination & Filings: Coordinate with external tax advisors to finalise and file VAT, GST and corporation tax returns. Support data requests, technical positions, and review comments from advisors. Manage filing timetables, deliverables, and dependencies across internal teams and advisors. Support Revenue queries and audits, coordinating responses internally and externally.Tax Accounting & Reporting: Review tax related balances, journals, and reconciliations prepared by the team. Support tax disclosures in statutory financial statements and audit processes. Assist with provision vs return reviews and true ups, ensuring alignment between accounting and tax outputs.Process Improvement, Automation & AI Enablement: Identify and lead opportunities to automate VAT and CT processes, reducing manual intervention and spreadsheet‑based workflows. Champion the use of data‑driven processes, including automated data extraction from ERP system (NetSuite). Promote and apply AI tools for tax research, data validation, issue identification, and documentation drafting. Actively participate in, and where possible lead, the implementation of new tools or technologies within the tax function. Collaborate with Finance and IT to improve data quality, accessibility, and reporting efficiency.Advisory & Stakeholder Support: Provide clear, practical tax input to the wider Finance team and other stakeholders. Assist with legislative monitoring and interpretation, escalating relevant changes and impacts. Support group tax initiatives, restructurings, or integrations impacting Irish entities.Qualifications & Experience4+ years' relevant experience in a multinational tax department.Professional tax qualification.Strong technical knowledge of VAT and corporation tax.Experience reviewing tax calculations and coordinating with external advisors.Advanced Excel skills with a clear interest in moving away from manual, spreadsheet‑driven processes.Demonstrated interest in, or experience with, automation and AI tools.Highly Desirable Experience implementing or rolling out new tax, data, or automation tools.Exposure to international tax compliance in a group environment.Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite.Key AttributesStrong reviewer mindset with excellent attention to detail.Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.Tech‑forward, and improvement focused.Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks while collaborating effectively within a team.Role LevelThis is a senior individual contributor role with responsibility for review, coordination, and process leadership, rather than day‑to‑day preparation.
