Credit Controller

The Group’s Agribusiness Division (Lakeland Agri) operates a state-of-the-art Animal Feed Manufacturing Facility and is a leading and innovative provider of the highest quality feeds and agricultural inputs to dairy, beef, and sheep farmers across the north and south of Ireland.
Applications are invited for a Credit controller based on the Bailieboro Site. The person appointed will be responsible for the management of the credit control function of Lakeland Agri in line with our credit control policies. This role involves managing the company debtor’s ledger, collaborating closely with technical account managers and the sales team manager, providing direction, assessing risk on customer accounts, and determining necessary actions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure adherence to the company's credit control policies and procedures.
* Address all account queries from customers, sales reps, and the Agri management team.
* Proactively pursue account payments, especially on overdue accounts.
* Request payments and agree on payment schedules and amounts with various customers.
* Resolve disputes regarding customer balances.
* Initiate and manage the escalation of collection methods when other means of accessing payments fail.
* Manage Master Data on the system, including account opening, contact details, credit limits, and account closing where necessary.
* Lead the process of reviewing credit limits with other members of the division management team.
* Liaise with sales reps, customers, and the milk payments division regarding the fixing of milk deductions.
* Generate regular reports on accounts receivable, collections, and credit risk to management and the sales team, highlighting areas of concern and improvement opportunities.
* Take reasonable care for the Health and Safety of yourself and others.
* Ensure compliance with all safety regulations in line with Health and Safety legislation, referencing the Lakeland Dairies Occupational Health and Safety Manual, Section: Duties and Responsibilities.
* Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time in line with your role as credit controller.
Individual: The successful candidate must be pro-active and be a strong team player with excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills. He/she will also be systematic, logical, and be able to prioritise work to make effective decisions.
