Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Indirect Tax Manager to join our dynamic team at Flutter.
Reporting to the Head of Gaming Tax, the Indirect Tax Manager will manage and develop the Group's gaming tax profile across several international jurisdictions.
Responsibilities
Manage the review and approval of betting and gaming tax returns across multiple international jurisdictions.
Use automated data processes while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and robust internal controls.
Develop a deep understanding of our gaming products' mechanics, promotional and generosity structures, and revenue flows to inform accurate tax treatment.
Monitor global indirect tax legislative and regulatory changes and communicate impacts proactively.
Identify, assess, and manage emerging tax risks such as regulatory developments, law changes, risks related to products, and control weaknesses.
Contribute to the build, improvement, and operation of the Gaming Tax control framework, ensuring risks are detailed, monitored, and mitigated effectively.
Manage projects that provide strategic tax input on new product launches, market entries, and commercial initiatives.
Lead responses to queries or audits from tax authorities in various jurisdictions, collaborating with colleagues across the business.
Act as a trusted business partner to Product, Commercial, Regulatory, Finance, and Data teams.
Qualifications
ACA/ACCA, CTA, or AITI qualified with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience.
Experience in international tax environments and multi-jurisdiction tax compliance.
Experience in tax risk identification, assessment, and mitigation.
Strong collaboration, commercial insight, and proactive risk management.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Experience managing or mentoring junior team members.
