Senior Security Firmware Engineer – Cork
We are working with a world-leading technology company based in Cork that is looking to expand its software engineering group by hiring an experienced Security Firmware Engineer.
This position is pivotal in expanding Trusted Execution Environments (TEE) on server platforms and ensuring hardware-assisted accelerators operate as fully trusted devices.
This role requires 5 days per week onsite
Responsibilities
The focus is on designing and implementing security solutions to protect sensitive workloads within TDISP and SR-IOV compliant Trusted VMs across multi‑tenant deployments. You will be:
Developing security software for AI accelerator cards.
Implementing SR-IOV‑based secure execution environments.
Integrating PCIe security protocols (SPDM, CMA, DOE, IDE).
Enforcing security policies within the Trusted Execution Environment and architecture.
Managing secure boot, attestation, and threat modelling.
Requirements
The company is looking for a technical specialist with a strong background in embedded software and a passion for Confidential Computing. Key requirements include:
3+ years of experience in embedded or system software (Compute/Server platforms preferred).
Deep proficiency in C/C++ and Linux‑based embedded systems.
Hands‑on experience with ARM TrustZone, RTOS, and Device Drivers.
Solid understanding of cryptographic primitives and their application in system design.
Familiarity with TDISP, SPDM, IDE, and DICE protocols.
Experience with JTAG, RAM dumps, and logic analysers for complex debugging.
RISC‑V experience is a significant plus.
