Job Title: General Operative
Responsible to: General Manager
Main Purpose of Job:
We are currently recruiting for a General Operative to join the Connolly Motor Group, within the team at Mercedes-Benz Galway.
The successful candidate will be required to work as part of the team to continuously deliver the highest level of satisfaction to internal and external customers. This will require you to continually strive to ensure the appropriate sales and service vehicles are in a first-class condition. You will also ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction is continually attained, completing the work on time.
Role Responsibilities:
* Dropping and Picking up car's from different sites and regions
* Prepares new and used vehicles for display/collection
* Ensure all cars are washed and vacuumed thoroughly before being returned to the customer
* Inspect the valeting bay on a regular basis and ensure work area is swept daily and kept clean and free from obstructions
* Processes appropriate dealership paperwork to ensure that the vehicle is correctly and fully prepared on time
* Drive in a safe and courteous manner at all times
* Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations
* Completes any other appropriate activities as specified by the Manager including all ad hoc driving duties
* Ensure general housekeeping and site maintenance

* Experience in a Valeting role is advantageous, external and internal training will be provided
* Ability to work in a team
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Full drivers license is essential
* Interested in working in a fast-paced environment
* Attention to detail is fundamental to ensure quality is consistently delivered
* Continuous improvement mindset
* Be flexible in order to cater for changing business requirements
* Undertake demanding physical work in a variety of weather conditions
