I am seeking an experienced General Foreperson to join a busy construction team for a leading Residential Developer in Cork on a 2-year fixed-term contract.
Responsibilities: Attend and contribute to daily coordination meetings.
Conduct continuous inspections of site works, promptly raising and resolving issues to ensure quality.
Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and civil engineering/groundworks contractors.
Complete daily labour and materials allocation sheets accurately.
Set up and maintain logistics walkways, including vehicle and pedestrian routes.
Supervise works from house foundations through to first and second fix, including external finishes, paving, boundary walls, and landscaping.
Effectively coordinate the movement of labour, machinery, and materials using site coordination and logistics software.
Maintain a secure and safe site by enforcing Health & Safety best practices.
Coordinate subcontractors and service providers to ensure timely handover to the finishing teams.
Requirements: Preferably a trade background.
Proven ability to meet challenging time and quality targets.
Strong spoken and written communication skills.
Methodical, detail-oriented, and accurate in work approach.
Excellent team player with the ability to work with people at all levels.
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Willingness to take responsibility for completing assigned tasks.
