SK9 are delighted to be working alongside a growing specialist Construction Firm in their search for a confident, savvy and driven Commercial Manager. The role is a hybrid post based in West Dublin where it will see the new Commercial Manager take leadership of a range of duties across the daily operations of the business. Ideally, someone from a Senior QS background will be most suited to what is needed with this post moving forward.
Responsibilities include:
1. Commercial Management: Overseeing all commercial aspects of projects, including budgeting, cost control, and risk management.
2. Client Relations: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
3. Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing commercial strategies that align with company objectives.
4. Contract Negotiation: Negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
5. Reporting and Analysis: Preparing and analyzing financial reports, project progress reports, and cost variances.
What's required to be considered suitable:
1. Ideally a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
2. Experience: A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, including some in a senior or management role.
3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Quantity Surveying software, budgeting, and cost control techniques. A strong understanding of contracts, procurement processes, and the construction industry.
4. Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership and communication skills, including the ability to manage teams and work effectively with clients and stakeholders.
