At Weir and Sons, we are currently looking for an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join the Weir team in one of our other stores - McDowells on O'Connell Street.
Role
As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be a strong leader for your team whilst ensuring the delivery of sales and service standards. Inspiring your team, you will display excellent leadership skills, identifying and nurturing talent to encourage career development and employee satisfaction. Proactive and attentive, you will take ownership of your area, constantly monitoring sales and service results.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for implementing workflow procedures based on direction from the Store Manager.
* Supervising employees during day-to-day tasks.
* Providing customer support in escalated situations.
* Managing the overall workflow.
* Conduct employee performance reviews.
* Develop good customer relationships.
* Address employee and customer concerns.
* Develop strategies for better workplace efficiency and goal achievement.
* Email and phone correspondence.
* Liaise between managers, customers, and employees.
* Provide direction to the team.
* Monitor spending patterns and budget.
* Support the team when Department Manager is absent.
* Decision making.
Requirements
* The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment
* Be an expert in customer service and be a natural leader
* At least 2 years Jewellery Retail experience
* Excellent verbal communication, and the ability to convey important information clearly and effectively
* Strong leadership and initiative
* Excellent delegator and mediator
* Responsible, goal oriented and organized
* Confident, proactive, and willing to take challenges
* Professionally presented
* Be articulate with an outgoing and friendly personality
* Be confident in dealing with high end clients with an ability to read and understand people
* Have initiative and demonstrate an ability to lead others by your example
* Previous jewellery/luxury retail industry experience.
