Financial Accountant Role Overview
The successful candidate will lead on all accounts receivable functions, including processing and resolving invoice issues. They will produce aged debtors' reports.
* Provide training and assistance to Finance Assistants in resolving queries
* Maintain the Fixed Asset Register
* Review and monitor the stock control system
* Review and monitor all bank accounts and reconciliations
* Prepare the monthly management accounts as directed by the Financial Controller and the Finance Director
* Assist with internal audit as required for two entities as directed by Financial Controller and Finance Director
* Act as Assistant Master Data Controller as support to the Financial Controller in this role
* Manage the processing of payroll and associated reporting
* Work closely with other functional departments
Key Responsibilities:
* Deal with ad-hoc queries from staff, suppliers, customers and other stakeholders
* Assist the Financial Controller and Finance Director in producing Ad Hoc reports as requested and completion of statutory returns as required
* Follow all financial policies and procedures
* Carry out all duties with due regard for all our Policies and Procedures
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field
* Professional qualification - newly qualified or part-qualified (essential)
* At least three years' experience working in a similar role
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, financial compliance, and reporting
* Strong organisational, administrative and time management skills
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping
* Ability to use own initiative
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
