Job Description
Role Overview
The primary role of the post holder is to proactively coordinate, administer and manage the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery activities, and to work closely with the Executive Dean, and the Dean and Officers of the Board to discharge its functions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee the day-to-day administrative operations and coordination of the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery activities.
2. Support the Executive Dean, Dean and Board Members in discharging the functions of the Board as required.
3. Supervise the administration staff in the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery office.
4. Liaise with the finance department to support the Executive Dean in relation to Audit and Finance.
5. Support the Executive Dean in relation to Business planning, implementation and review.
6. Attend relevant committee meetings as directed by the Executive Dean.
7. Support the Executive Dean in managing and coordinating the operations of the Faculty.
8. Assure Board management compliance with the Dean/Board and EA to the Board.
9. Work with the administration team, Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery leadership and academic staff to plan and deliver the strategic objectives of the Faculty.
10. Execute the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery strategic plan.
11. Coordinate all data to ensure the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery meets its strategic and operational objectives.
12. Coordinate the strategic action plan dashboard.
13. Coordinate stakeholder engagement.
14. Coordinate internal staff meetings.
15. Manage the operational efficiency, coordination and delivery of all educational, training and professional development programmes.
16. Oversee administration management, development and support processes.
17. Develop and implement robust market engagement, stakeholder management, quality management and communications processes.
18. Support the Executive Dean in the development and management of budgets and annual business planning processes.
19. Develop strong trust-based relationships with key healthcare, policy, regulatory and clinical stakeholders.
20. Manage administrative staff and support services.
21. Liaise with RCSI ICT staff to ensure compatibility and compliance with RCSI IT Policies.
22. Organise an efficient handover/transition to the returning post-holder.
Requirements
1. A Team Leader with the ability to work collaboratively with others to maximise individual and team effectiveness.
2. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
3. Experience of Microsoft Office suite.
4. Tech / IT literate including experience of Moodle, MS Teams and Zoom.
5. Good organisational skills and the ability to demonstrate initiative and situational leadership.
6. Good written and verbal communication and reporting capability.
7. Manages tasks and time and prioritises courses of action to achieve faculty objectives and deadlines.
8. Learns quickly and responds effectively to changing needs and circumstances.

About the Post
This is a fixed-term temporary post. From time to time, the post holder may be required to work some additional hours, to carry out the duties associated with the post. Time off in lieu may apply.
