Job Description

What will you be doing?

Our Business Outsourcing Services (BOS) team are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our Financial Reporting team in Dublin.

This role is a great opportunity to gain experience in the preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts and statutory financial statements. You'll also gain exposure to other areas of BOS such as Company Secretarial and Taxation reporting including filings with the Company Registration Office and preparation of Corporation Tax and VAT returns.

This is a permanent role to be based at our Dublin office. We would expect full time office attendance in the initial period (5 days per week), then moving to a hybrid working pattern with minimum 3 days per week in office once you've settled into the role.

There is also the possibility of ACCA/ACA support for the right candidate and an excellent opportunity to become a Chartered Accountant.

As a Financial Reporting Analyst, your responsibilities will include among others

* Prepare annual financial statements including statutory accounts under IFRS and FRS 102 accounting standards, partnership accounts, sole trader accounts and trust accounts for tax purposes
* Assist with the delivery of financial reporting services to a portfolio of clients within agreed timelines and service level quality requirements
* Visit client premises to undertake on-site accounting needs as required
* Prepare and input client transactions into a modern ledger system, prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts for clients, monthly/quarterly/annual VAT returns from financial information supplied by client and prepare Intrastat and VIES sales lists for clients
* Where applicable, the completion of other tax services including attending to tax registrations, de-registrations etc and company secretarial activities including statutory filings
* Keeping your manager fully informed of any challenges arising and creating solutions to issues encountered, ensuring the work is completed to a level agreed with the manager and recording clearly and concisely the work carried out


Qualifications

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you should have a willingness to,

* Study towards ACCA/ACA qualification
* Gain exposure to modern technology and systems including its implementation
* Work independently whilst collaborating with the wider team
* Results orientated to meet and exceed client expectations, with a key focus on delivering high quality work that consistently meets internal and/or external client deadlines
* Develop your understanding of accounting standards
* Monitoring costs against budget for individual clients
