We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to drive the modernization of core enterprise platforms within a global insurance leader. This role focuses on transitioning legacy systems into a high-throughput, AWS serverless architecture, utilizing AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and enhance code quality.
*Initial 6 month contract expected to roll/extend
*3 days onsite in Dublin weekly
*450-550 daily rate
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of professional software engineering experience, specifically within enterprise environments.
Proven experience building microservices using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and SQS.
Hands-on experience using AI-assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) to optimize productivity and engineering standards.
Deep understanding of event-driven systems, distributed transactions, and scalable asynchronous processing.
Experience integrating modern APIs with legacy enterprise systems, preferably within Insurance or Financial Services.
Active contribution to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and cloud-native monitoring/observability.
Nice to Have
Experience with AWS Step Functions, EventBridge, and Aurora PostgreSQL.
Background in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and modern DevOps practices.
Specific experience in legacy-to-cloud platform migrations.
