We’re looking for a hands‑on Financial Controller to take ownership of the finance function at a new hotel in Dublin. You’ll be the go‑to person for everything numbers‑related on property and a key partner to the General Manager and heads of department.
You’ll oversee the day‑to‑day hotel finance operation, making sure the numbers are accurate, the controls are solid and the team has the information they need to make good commercial decisions. You’ll combine the detail work (reports, reconciliations, controls) with bigger‑picture input on how the hotel can trade more profitably.
What you’ll be doing
Owning the hotel P&L and leading the finance function on site
Preparing monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow reports
Coordinating budgets and forecasts and tracking performance against them
Managing month‑end and year‑end processes and ensuring all deadlines are met
Keeping a close eye on costs and margins, and flagging risks and opportunities to the team
Overseeing payroll, ensuring accuracy of hours, rates and approvals
Managing purchasing, invoicing and payments, and looking after supplier relationships from a finance perspective
Maintaining strong internal controls and supporting audit requirements
Providing clear, easy‑to‑use financial insight to support operational and commercial decisions
What we’re looking for
Experience as a Financial Controller or senior finance role in a hotel or hospitality environment
Strong accounting, reporting and budgeting skills, with good Excel and systems knowledge
Comfortable working with hotel systems (PMS, POS, purchasing, payroll interfaces)
Commercially minded, able to translate numbers into practical actions for the team
Organised, detail‑driven and reliable, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
Strong communicator and collaborator, able to build good relationships across all departments
