Night Hatch Attendant – Portlaoise Plaza
We invite applications for a Part-Time Night Hatch Attendant to join our team at the Portlaoise Plaza.
The Plaza Group, which is part of the Supermac's group, operates several key locations on busy road networks and motorways. It includes Supermac's, Papa Johns, Supersubs, Macs Place Deli, Retail Convenience Shop, customer seating, and motorway facilities for leisure, business, and truck commuters, with ample parking and services.
PLEASE NOTE: Night Hatch Attendant - 11pm to 7am. This position requires full flexibility to work nights. Training will commence immediately.
Note: Due to the nature of the job, candidates must be over 20 years old.
Job Purpose: To assist the Retail & Forecourt Manager in supervising the site and operations during the nighttime period.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Ensure the hatch is manned at all times.
2. Induct and train new nighttime employees effectively when required.
3. Communicate operational matters to daytime staff and give proper handovers if issues are outstanding.
4. Provide high-quality and consistent customer service at all times.
5. Carry out nighttime duties such as cleaning or servicing equipment (e.g., coffee machines) according to procedures to ensure top-quality products, along with stocking duties during quiet periods.
6. Assist the retail and forecourt manager in managing the retail store and forecourt, communicating customer requests at night, and proposing ideas to improve service.
7. Identify and address potential hazards in the store to reduce or eliminate risks.
8. Help minimize stock loss through wastage, damages, and pilferage, ensuring food management and waste systems are followed.
9. Ensure the store is merchandised in a customer-friendly and competitive manner, complying with company procedures and guidelines.
10. Ensure stock rotation to keep in-date stock available.
The shop will be closed to the public; however, limited services will be offered via the night hatch.
