Due to continued growth and a healthy pipeline of secured work, they are seeking an experienced Estimator to join their pre‑construction team based in Oranmore, Co. Galway. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the successful tendering and acquisition of diverse construction projects while contributing to the continued success of a growing business.
Reporting to the Commercial Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates and tender submissions for a range of construction projects.

Key responsibilities:
Reviewing tender documentation, drawings, specifications and employer requirements.
Preparing detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for residential and commercial projects.
Obtaining and evaluating quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
Conducting quantity take‑offs and analysing project risks and opportunities.
Preparing comprehensive tender submissions within strict deadlines.
Liaising with the design, commercial and operational teams throughout the tender process.
Attending pre‑tender and post‑tender meetings with clients and stakeholders as required.
Maintaining and updating cost databases and pricing information.
Supporting value engineering initiatives to identify cost‑effective solutions.
Assisting with handover meetings to project delivery teams upon successful award of projects.
Monitoring market trends, material costs and subcontractor pricing to ensure competitiveness.
Key Requirements:
Experience pricing residential, commercial or relevant Civil Engineering projects.
Strong understanding of construction methodologies, specifications and procurement processes.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and tender documentation.
Excellent numerical, analytical and commercial skills.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and work to tight deadlines.
Relevant third‑level qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Construction Management or a related discipline.
