Legal Advisor for Energy Projects
This role involves providing high-quality legal advice and support to our energy businesses. The successful candidate will work closely with legal colleagues, internal specialists, and business representatives to achieve their goals and objectives.
* Provide legal advice to stakeholders in respect of property and planning matters over various energy projects.
* Support the energy business covering sectors such as thermal, offshore wind, onshore wind, solar & battery, heat networks, and electric vehicles.
* Draft and negotiate property documents including agreements for lease, leases, transfers, options, servitudes easements, and others; undertake title due diligence and prepare title reports; and assist the team on other project/transactional property work as required.
* Experience as a Paralegal or Legal Executive with at least 3 years' post-qualifying experience in a property role with confidence in dealing with property land rights and leases.
* Rural/crofting law experience would be advantageous.
* Dual qualification or exposure to different jurisdictions would be desirable in two or more of the following jurisdictions - England & Wales, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, or Scotland.
* Skills in producing clear, precise written work and legal documents with excellent attention to detail.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong collaborative partnerships based on trust.
