Under the leadership of the Head of ICT, the Chief Information Security Manager is responsible for planning, developing, implementing and maintaining security programs, policies and procedures at Mercy University Hospital (MUH).
Responsibilities
Provide leadership, direction and guidance in assessing and evaluating cyber/information security risks and monitor compliance with security standards.
Lead development of a mature cyber security environment and attain compliance with NIS2.
Manage responses to incidents and coordinate the Incident Plan.
Represent the hospital in relation to cyber/information security, third‑party providers, HSE/Gov, compliance groups.
Create the framework for information security governance and compliance with relevant stakeholders.
Assist the Head of ICT in budget and short/long‑range goal development.
Develop, coordinate, implement and support a cyber security roadmap.
Coordinate cyber reviews/penetration testing and report on progress/gaps.
Train users and promote security awareness to improve system security.
Research, evaluate, design, test, and recommend new or updated information security hardware/software.
Keep abreast of security issues and regulatory changes.
Qualifications
Relevant degree in a related discipline.
8+ years of relevant working experience.
Project management skills.
Experience in cyber security frameworks and strong incident management.
Knowledge of cyber & security applications/services.
Strong technical background in network architecture, systems/tech architecture, databases/architecture, network management (LAN/WAN).
Excellent communication, analysis/problem‑solving, workload management, ethics and integrity, action orientation, customer focus, judgement.
