Overview
Our client, a main contractor with projects across Europe, is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to support their team on a data centre project in Finland. The successful candidate will provide local guidance and support to help managers and staff meet the high safety standards required by the business.
Job Summary
Maintain strong relationships with business teams, directors, managers, and project teams to support effective implementation of the Group Safety Management System.
Appoint competent safety personnel, ensure training needs are met, and participate in safety committees.
Oversee risk assessments and safety procedures, including lifting operations, temporary works, fire/emergencies, inductions, permits, and bespoke site processes.
Manage risks to third parties and other contractors, ensuring compliance and proactive safety measures.
Investigate accidents and incidents, identify causes, implement preventive actions, and report on health & safety performance.
Stay up to date with health and safety regulations, liaise with industry bodies, and promote Group safety standards to staff and clients.
Qualifications and Experience
Relevant degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
3+ years construction experience.
Strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations and practices.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
