We are seeking an experienced Groundwork Supervisor to manage and oversee construction sites across Cork.
Responsibilities:
Health & Safety
Enforce compliance with site-specific Safety Statements and safety procedures
Supervise subcontractors to ensure adherence to company H&S policies
Collaborate with Site Agent/Project Manager to prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
Lead daily briefings, toolbox talks, and personnel inductions
Conduct regular site inspections and complete reports through designated platforms (e.g., PowerApps)
Quality Assurance
Ensure all site activities meet project specifications and quality standards
Identify and correct defects, obtaining client sign-off upon completion
Report non-conformances and contribute to continuous improvement
Environmental Compliance
Confirm all environmental permits are in place before work commences
Ensure site practices prevent environmental damage or non-compliance
Planning & Execution
Manage daily operations of site labor, subcontractors, and plant/equipment
Develop short-term programs and monitor progress efficiently
Liaise regularly with clients, engineers, and internal teams
Documentation & Communication
Maintain accurate site records, including RAMS, permits, diaries, and progress updates
Attend project meetings and deliver site progress reports
Take ownership of HSQE action items and ensure timely closure
Team Management
Supervise and allocate tasks to teams to ensure efficient workflow
Resolve site issues promptly and maintain a productive environment
Support team development and identify future leadership talent
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years' experience in a foreman or site supervisor role in Ireland or the UK
Strong commitment to health, safety, quality, environment, and cost control
Certification from a recognised Site Safety Supervisor Programme (or equivalent)
Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
Full, clean driving licence
Eligible to work in Ireland (no visa sponsorship available)

Pay: €50,663.87-€74,675.25 per year
