At Bord Gáis we have a great opportunity for a Salesforce Administrator for a 12 month maternity cover. The Salesforce Administrator is a vital force behind the smooth operation and continual enhancement of the Salesforce platform. This role involves configuring and optimizing Salesforce to meet business needs, ensuring top-tier performance, and managing user access with precision. The administrator also supports the integration of AI and emerging technologies, including data loading, sandbox management, maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance. This role empowers teams to work smarter and more efficiently.
About the role
Responsibilities and scope include ensuring the Sales/Service Platform technologies underpinning are performing and evolving to provide excellent sales/service journeys for customers across web, app, call centre and partner sales; setting up and configuring green-field Salesforce implementations (initial focus on Service Cloud built using SF/Vlocity components); user provisioning and configuration of permissions and access (may include other non-Salesforce applications); Salesforce configuration and development (Service Cloud setup, Lightning App Builder, Flows, object configuration, sandbox management, data loading); compliance with change control procedures; documentation; and contributing to technology roadmaps.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the Sales/Service Platform technologies underpinning are performing and evolving to provide an excellent sales/service journeys for customers across web, app, call centre and partner sales.
* Set-Up and configure green-field Salesforce Implementations.
* Initially focus will be on Service Cloud built using SF/Vlocity components.
* User provisioning and configuration of permissions and access. May include other non Salesforce applications.
* Salesforce Configuration and configurative development, including: Service Cloud set-up and configuration; Lightning App Builder; Flows; Object Configuration: fields, record types, visibility and permission; sandbox creations and refreshes; Data Loading.
* Supports the assessment of system requirements, identifying and addressing any potential issues prior to implementation.
* Actively pursues technology trends and incorporates into the technology roadmap.
* Work closely with Senior Solution Architects to document end to end solutions and deliver required functionality across Sales, Service, Fulfilment, Payment, Billing, and Support.
* Inputs into plans for technical verification/regression testing plans, as required.
* Ensures peer reviews and unit tests are prepared and executed to appropriate standards.
* Creates and updates application documentation according to documentation standards.
* Follows change control procedures and maintains version control and configuration management to protect production services.
* Ensures compliance with statutory and company procedures, including security policies.
* Drives retrospectives and lessons learned to improve deliverables and development standards.
* Identifies and implements opportunities to improve development standards, processes and tools; stays informed on industry trends.
Qualifications
* Experience in Salesforce administration
* Strong communication skills to work cross-functionally with different stakeholders
* Experience with Omni-studio, CPQ, EPC would be an advantage
* Meticulous attention to detail
