Kildare Salary €45,000 We are recruiting an experienced and driven Sous Chef to join the senior kitchen team at a busy 4-star hotel in Clane, catering for weddings, leisure guests, and corporate events. This is a hands-on role offering variety across banqueting, conferences, and daily service, while supporting the Head Chef in running the kitchen. Key responsibilities Assist the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations and service Lead the kitchen in the Head Chefs absence Oversee food preparation and service across weddings, conferences, and hotel dining Manage kitchen sections and support chefs across all areas as needed Supervise, guide, and motivate the kitchen team Ensure compliance with HACCP, health & safety, and hygiene standards Assist with stock control, ordering, waste management, and cost control Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency Requirements Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior Chef de Partie ready to step up Hotel or high-volume banqueting background preferred Strong leadership and organisational skills Flexible and able to work across sections and service styles Professional, reliable, and team-focused Passion for quality food and maintaining high kitchen standards Full unrestricted right to work in Ireland What we offer Stable, long-term role within a reputable hotel Work within a professional and structured kitchen team Varied, hands-on experience across all hotel operations INDCAT2 Skills: cooking time management food safety
