The Role As an Electrical Control Systems Design Engineer, you will deliver high-quality electrical control solutions tailored to customer requirements, while supporting the full lifecycle of project implementation. Working as part of a team and on your own initiative, you will implement electrical power and control circuitry designs for automated machinery, provide electrical control solutions, and support project implementation. You will work with customers and internal stakeholders to identify and evaluate the electrical system integrity, ensure compliance with standards and safety legislation, and provide technical support. Proactively identifying and contributing to improvements to systems, youll ensure all project deliverables are completed accurately, on schedule and to specification, maintaining the highest standards of service, compliance and technical quality throughout. About You To be considered as an Electrical Control Systems Design Engineer, you will need: - Experience in electrical control systems design, manufacturing, installation, fault-finding, and commissioning - Experience designing low voltage electrical control panels and systems, including Industry Standard PLCs, Variable Speed Drives, Servo Drives, Digital and Analogue Sensors, Instrumentation, pneumatics, Intrinsically Safe components, and Machine Safety Systems - Experience of working on low voltage electrical control panel layouts, control circuitry, bills of material, and technical documentation - Electrical controls design and drawing experience using Auto CAD Electrical, EPLAN, WSCAD, or Solidworks Electrical (Auto CAD Electrical experience is an advantage) - The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team - Strong communication and problem-solving skills - The ability to effectively liaise and work with customers and stakeholders - A Degree in Electrical Engineering, or a senior electrical trade qualification with further training and experience in industrial electrical control systems design, manufacturing, installation, fault-finding and commissioning Other organisations may call this role Electrical Design Engineer, Electrical Project Engineer, or Electrical Control Systems Engineer.
