Job Title: EHS Advisor - Main Contractor (Dublin)Salary: Up to €70,000 + Package (including Benefits)
Role
To provide Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) oversight across projects delivered by a leading main contractor in Dublin, ensuring full compliance with applicable legislation, client requirements, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and enforce EHS compliance across all site activities on a range of construction projects.
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, ensuring timely implementation of corrective actions.
Review and support preparation of method statements, risk assessments (RAMS), and permit-to-work systems.
Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and safety briefings to promote a strong safety culture.
Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, ensuring accurate reporting and corrective action tracking.
Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and workforce to ensure adherence to EHS procedures and standards.
Ensure compliance with Irish health and safety legislation, EU directives, and client-specific requirements.
Maintain accurate EHS documentation, records, and reporting systems.
Support emergency preparedness planning and on-site drills.
Requirements
3-5 years' experience in a construction EHS role, ideally within main contractor or large-scale commercial/residential projects.
Qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline.
Strong knowledge of risk assessment processes and safe systems of work.
Familiarity with Irish EHS regulations is essential.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
