Our goal is to find a skilled Research Engineer who will be responsible for scaling and developing a robust process for the final purification step by physical vapor deposition on novel OLED emitters. The ideal candidate will also provide occasional support in manufacturing areas to troubleshoot issues and develop corrective actions for nonconformances.
Job Description
The Role: As a Research Engineer, you will be part of our OLED Process Development team and be responsible for leading the development of new OLED technologies. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to drive innovation and deliver results.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop initial physical vapor deposition conditions and complete manufacturing assessments of new compounds.
2. Conduct experiments for scale-up work for transferring product from development to commercial equipment.
3. Independently conduct Design of Experiments to develop optimal process conditions to achieve purity, yield, throughput, and device performance targets.
4. May need to develop the process to achieve specific customer requirements such as, density and crystal morphology.
5. Analyze and interpret analytical results to make process changes as necessary and raise issues or concerns with customers and process development chemists.
6. Coordinate customer requests for additional analytical analysis and experiments on new products.
7. Prepare items for technical transfer to production manufacturing sites.
8. Research novel tools and methods to improve process development of the sublimation process.
9. Interface with customer project managers, process development chemists, and technicians daily throughout the new product development life cycles.
