Manufacturing Supervisor – Evening Shift

The Role
Supervise employees and activities across areas of production for smooth and continuous operations.
Lead improvement projects, partner with engineering on investigations and/or corrective actions, perform non‑conformance investigations, and ensure documentation content is valid.
Accountable for productivity and quality metrics of staff, and provide regular progress reports and manufacturing metrics to management and cross‑functional stakeholders.
Oversee the scheduling of work orders and team performance metrics.
Ensure appropriate staffing for all positions.
Accountable to ensure staff is appropriately trained to perform assigned work.
Document owner for assigned product line assembly procedures.
Monitor raw material usage and availability required in daily production.
Monitor material and labour variances to meet established standards.
On time arrival to work, regular attendance without excessive absenteeism, and working a full 8‑hour or longer work period.
Other incidental duties (e.g., occasional photocopying or deliveries).
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday – 4:30 PM to 3 AM (Finish at 2 AM on Thursdays).
What You Will Need
Bachelor’s Degree (or internship) with substantial technical knowledge and experience required in the assigned work area.
2 years previous related experience with full responsibility for all personnel, including hire/fire authority and handling all aspects of employee relations in manufacturing, quality, or product development engineering.
Experience working in multi‑cultural teams with cultural sensitivity.
Experience working in the medical device industry (preferred).
What Else We Look For
Project management experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of ERP system, preferably JDE.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong collaboration abilities in partnering with cross‑functional stakeholders.
Full understanding of manufacturing procedures related to all stages of own area of responsibility.
Demonstrated ability to supervise teams and provide coaching, including responsibility for all employee actions and partnering with HR on employee relations.
Ability to analyze and identify potential line/operation layout adjustments to improve efficiency.
Full understanding of processes and equipment used in assigned work.
Ability to work and excel within a fast‑paced, dynamic, and constantly changing work environment.
Knowledge of and adherence to Edwards Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines as they relate to department clean‑room medical device manufacturing.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts and Six Sigma.
Ability to supervise a section of production activity to accomplish tasks, projects, and operations.
Adherence to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and taking adequate control measures to prevent injuries and protect the environment.
Associate Assembler – Evening Shift

As an Associate Assembler, you will apply skill and dexterity in the assembly of components into finished devices, following regulatory and company guidelines.
How You'll Make an Impact
Use tools and equipment to complete assembly of medical devices precisely and in a timely fashion at each workstation – proficient in multiple operations, following work order instructions and drawings, using computers to navigate drawings, and entering parts status data.
Perform inventory reconciliation at the start of the day and when transitioning to the next work order.
Review, follow, and perform job functions in compliance with established work instructions and adherence with SOPs, including recording traceable information on device history records and entering data into manufacturing data systems.
Perform line clearance – cleaning and sanitizing work stations at the start of the shift and when transitioning to next work orders, ensuring all required components and tools are ready for the build.
Self‑assessment of work, including visual inspection under magnification and sequential review of colleagues’ work, providing constructive team feedback, and escalating work issues and changes in equipment performance to supervisor.
On time arrival to work, regular attendance without excessive absenteeism, and working a full 8‑hour or longer work period.
Other incidental duties: general work area housekeeping.
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday – 4:30 PM to 3 AM (Thursday finish time of 2 AM).
What You'll Need
Leaving Certificate or equivalent (preferred).
What Else We Look For (Preferred)
Good communication skills.
Ability to read, comprehend, and speak English, and elementary‑level understanding of numerical functions.
Adherence to Edwards Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines as they relate to department clean‑room medical device manufacturing.
Proven ability to complete, retain, and incorporate training coursework in the performance of new and advanced work procedures.
Must be able to work with minimum supervision by following detailed manufacturing instructions.
Work in a team environment, primarily work with colleagues and supervisor.
Ability to effectively provide and accept feedback from colleagues based on sequential work reviews.
Flexibility to work overtime to ensure smooth and continuous manufacturing processes.
Adherence to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and taking adequate control measures to prevent injuries and protect the environment.
