About the Role

We are seeking highly skilled Clinical/Educational Psychologists with expertise in Autism assessment to join our team.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Psychological assessment, particularly in diagnosing Autism in Children.


This role involves conducting thorough evaluations, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, and providing tailored recommendations to support children and their families.




Key Responsibilities:



* Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for children suspected of having Autism.

* Administer standardized assessment tools and utilize clinical judgment to formulate accurate diagnoses.

* Collaborate with other professionals, including speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists etc., to gather comprehensive information and provide holistic assessments.

* Provide feedback and individualized recommendations to families regarding assessment results and intervention strategies.

* Be aware of and refer clients on to appropriate services as necessary.

* Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of assessment results and suggested interventions.

* Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.

* Work within limits of professional competence in line with principles of best practice, professional conduct, and clinical governance.

* Stay abreast of current research and best practices in Autism assessment and intervention.





Requirements



Qualifications:



* Masters degree in Clinical/Educational Psychology recognized by Psychological Society of Ireland (or equivalent)

* Psi accredited or equivalent




Experience:



* Senior Psychologist level: 5 years+ post-qualification experience, working with children

* Prior experience in Autism diagnosis is essential

* Proficiency in administering and interpreting standardized assessment tools commonly used in autism diagnosis (e.g. ADOS-2, ADI-R, Vineland)

* Strong clinical skills, including diagnostic assessment, case conceptualization, and treatment planning

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
