Join a thriving manufacturing company as they continue to grow their team in Cork. As a Senior Financial Accountant, you'll spearhead financial oversight, ensuring accurate accounting, robust cash flow projections, and adherence to financial agreements.
Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, drive monthly accounts, handle tax filings, and enhance reporting standards. We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a strong accounting background and industry experience.
Main Responsibilities
* Preparation of weekly Accounts for review
* Preparation of Monthly and Annual Accounts for review
* Prepare Weekly /Monthly Payroll Reconciliation for review
* Prepare Weekly Reconciliation of Accounts to KPI data
* Preparation & management of annual / monthly budgets
* Assist with Year-end Audit
* Month End Accruals and Reconciliation for Review
* Run Weekly reports as required
* Assist with coding supplier invoices and assist with ensuring payment of critical suppliers on time
* Processing and monitoring of capex expenditure and maintaining fixed asset register
* Assist with implementing procedures and process improvements
* Assist with annual budgeting process
* Preparation of grant claims
* Assistance with annual R&D Tax credit Claim
* Manage Accounts payable functions
* Any other ad hoc duties as deemed appropriate by the management team
* Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting processes to Directors
* Guide and work closely with Financial Assistant
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounts Receivable (40%)
* Purchase Order acceptance, processing, order fulfillment and invoice generation
* Provide inbound customer accounts response via phone, email,
* Liaise with Company partners and sales teams to ensure order fulfillment
* Address questions on pricing, customer credit terms,
* Customer credit approval
* Debtors ledger management
* Process bank receipts
Accounts Payable (30%)
* Suppliers Invoices - reconciling goods received to purchase orders
* Liaise with suppliers to manage order and invoice disputes
* Creditors ledger management, including input and payment of supplier invoices
* Monthly supplier reconciliations to statements
* Processing of bank receipts
Reporting (20%)
* Inputting bank / other accounts information
* Preparing reports for the Directors / executive team across a broad range of KPIs
Other duties as reasonably required (10%)

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
* Strong Customer Service Skills
* Numeracy Skills
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy of data input
* Strong Communication Skills verbal and written
* Ability to prioritize workload and deliver to deadlines
* Team player, flexible and proactively uses own initiative
* Completer/finisher – follow through tasks, queries etc. to completion
*Knowledge of computer systems, accounting software SAGE 50C, and Office applications required, ERP & CRM software, ROS, Auto-entry, Excel
DESIRED CRITERIA
* 5+ years' relevant experience
* Qualified Accounting Technician (ATI) or Full/Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/CAI)
* Knowledge of SAGE accounting platform helpful
