A dynamic and visionary leader is sought to spearhead our Transport Planning division in Ireland. As an Associate Director, you will be responsible for shaping the future of transport infrastructure, leveraging your expertise in rail and road scheme appraisal, local transport plan development, and demand management projects.
With a strong track record in client engagement and cross-discipline stakeholder communication, you will inspire and motivate teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our clients.
Missions/Main Duties:

* Develop and implement effective appraisal, impact assessment, and master planning strategies for sustainable low-carbon transport projects across Ireland.
* Manage subconsultants, joint venture partners, and framework contracts to ensure successful project delivery.
* Lead complex high-value proposals, taking responsibility for project management and commercial outcomes.
* Ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality project delivery through effective team management.
* Establish and maintain relationships with key client contacts, presenting and engaging at a high level.
* Support business development, bid writing, and client engagement initiatives to achieve work-winning targets.
* Raise SYSTRA's profile by sharing knowledge and expertise through article writing or conference presentations.
* Collaborate with clients to understand their objectives and desired outcomes, ensuring our solutions meet their needs.
* Develop and deliver effective stakeholder engagement plans and communications materials, including public consultation.
* Mentor less experienced project/proposal managers, line managing a small team.

Profile/Skills:
* Relevant degree qualification (ideally Economics or Civil Engineering).
* Significant experience in Transport Planning, including appraisal, technical report writing, master planning, and transport demand management.
* Proven project management skills, including client liaison and stakeholder engagement.
* Familiarity with Transport Modelling tools and techniques advantageous.
* Strong numerical and Excel skills.
* Experience in mentoring and growing team members, with line management experience preferred.
* Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
