Our Client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Business Analyst to support critical transformation projects within a public sector environment. This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to meaningful organizational change and service delivery improvement in areas such as Communications, Climate Action, and Environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct detailed business process analysis and mapping.
* Apply structured methodologies such as LEAN Six Sigma to evaluate and improve existing processes.
* Lead and facilitate workshops to gather comprehensive business requirements.
* Design and document future-state business processes using tools such as Visio.
* Develop user stories and acceptance criteria to support agile solution development.
* Create detailed test plans and documentation to support successful system implementations.
* Produce and transition user-friendly support documentation for both technical and business audiences.
* Provide expert system support and demonstrate a deep understanding of operational processes.
* Conduct research and build evidence-based insights to support business cases and informed decision-making.
* Review organizational objectives, services, and information needs to recommend improvements.
* Prepare feasibility studies, high-level and detailed business models.
* Collaborate with management to oversee change delivery across systems and processes.
Core Competencies:
1. Systems Analysis & Design
* Strong analysis skills across various methodologies.
* Experience with analysis tools, prototyping, wireframing, and screen mock-ups.
* Ability to conduct research and build compelling evidence-based documentation.
2. Project Management
* Proven experience managing complex projects, ideally with certifications (PRINCE2, RUP, Agile).
* Expertise in prioritizing workstreams, meeting tight deadlines, and coordinating testing and implementation.
* Strong stakeholder and client relationship management skills.
* Hands-on experience with SCRUM or similar Agile methodologies.
3. General Skills
* Excellent communication and documentation skills.
* Collaborative team player with a track record in knowledge transfer and mentoring.
* Experienced in managing third-party vendors and partners.
* Background in formal change management frameworks (e.g. Prosci) is advantageous.
* Public sector experience and familiarity with the business of climate, environment, and communication policy is a plus.
