Technical Sales Representative
Role Overview
A leading hazardous waste management and solvent recycling organisation is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to support commercial growth and strengthen the client base across industrial, pharmaceutical, automotive, and manufacturing sectors.
This role is suited to a proactive, technically confident sales professional who can generate new business, manage existing accounts, and provide technical guidance on waste classification, compliance, and treatment capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Develop new business opportunities and grow the customer base
Manage and expand existing client accounts
Prepare quotations, proposals, and tender submissions
Conduct site visits, waste audits, and technical assessments
Advise clients on hazardous waste regulations, ADR, and EPA compliance
Provide technical guidance on waste classification and treatment options
Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts
Work closely with operations and technical teams to ensure accurate waste profiling and service delivery
Maintain CRM records, forecasts, and sales activity reports
Requirements
Minimum 5 years' experience in technical sales, business development, or account management
Experience in waste, environmental, chemical, or industrial sectors preferred
Strong understanding of hazardous waste regulations and classification
Ability to interpret Safety Data Sheets (SDS), waste codes, and technical specifications
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Relevant technical or environmental qualification is an advantage
Full clean driving licence
Willingness to travel nationwide
