The Role
As a Benefits Consultant, you will own and drive health insurance sales across our Platform (direct employer clients) and Embed (integrated partner) channels. Health insurance is a core pillar of our benefits proposition, and this role sits at the centre of how we sell, position and grow it across multiple markets.
This is a high-impact, sales-focused role at the intersection of insurance, partnerships and market growth. You’ll sell tailored health insurance solutions in collaboration with our partners, targeting their corporate client bases across the EEA, UK and selected international markets. From campaign design through to pricing, proposal delivery, client engagement and go‑live, you’ll drive the process and collaborate closely with our Benefits, Customer Success, Embed, Expansions and Product teams.
You’ll also play a key role in shaping our health insurance proposition as we expand into new markets—researching providers, adapting products to local demands, and ensuring every offering is competitive and commercially impactful. As we scale, you’ll help define the playbook for how Kota sells health insurance globally.
What You’ll Do
Health Insurance Sales Through Partnerships
Own the positioning and selling of health insurance solutions across our Platform and Embed channels, targeting partner corporate client bases across the EEA, UK and select international markets.
Lead sales-focused campaigns and initiatives designed to increase customer adoption, boost policy uptake and hit ambitious sales targets.
Act as the health insurance expert in conversations with prospects and clients, ensuring that sales and benefits work seamlessly together to position Kota as the best place for a business to launch and house their employee benefits.
Market Expansion and Growth
Collaborate with the Expansion team to research, evaluate and onboard preferred health insurance providers in new and emerging markets.
Adapt and refine health insurance solutions to meet local market demands, regulatory requirements and cultural expectations—ensuring every product offering remains competitive and commercially impactful.
Build and implement revenue-generating strategies for both new and existing markets, working closely with leadership to align on growth goals.
Stakeholder and Partner Management
Act as the primary health insurance contact for embed partners and their end-customers, managing expectations and timelines across complex multi-party relationships.
Coordinate with insurer and intermediary partners on pricing submissions, scheme design and commission arrangements.
Work closely with Customer Success, Benefits Consultants, Embed, Expansions and Compliance teams to ensure a seamless client experience.
Compliance and Advisory
Provide regulated health insurance information to clients, leveraging your APA in Health Insurance or General Insurance qualifications.
Ensure all sales activity meets Central Bank of Ireland regulatory requirements and Kota’s internal compliance standards.
Support governance reviews and insurer audits as they relate to health insurance sales activity.
What We’re Looking For
Required
APA (Accredited Product Adviser) in General Insurance or Insurance Product Advice.
5+ years’ experience in health insurance sales, employee benefits consulting or a related commercial role, ideally within a broker, insurer or insurtech environment.
Proven track record of hitting sales targets and driving revenue growth in insurance or benefits.
Strong knowledge of the health insurance landscape across Ireland, the UK or broader EEA markets.
Experience managing multi-stakeholder sales processes, including insurer negotiations, pricing analysis and client-facing proposal delivery.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across internal teams and external partners.
Preferred
Experience with embedded insurance or partnership-driven distribution models.
Familiarity with international health markets (UAE, India, Singapore, continental Europe) and working with intermediary networks.
Experience contributing to product or process improvement initiatives within a fast-paced, technology-first environment.
Comfortable working cross-functionally across Benefits, Product, Customer Success and Expansions teams.
