West Cork Distillers was founded in 2003 by John O'Connell, Denis McCarthy and Ger McCarthy and has since grown to a team of over 120 people based in our distillery in Skibbereen, Co. Cork.

We are looking for
We are currently looking for a Fermentation Operations Technician to join our team in West Cork Distillers. You will become a part of our team which produces bulk product for a number of household brand food and beverage producers all across the globe.
Full training will be provided, but previous experience in food production, maintenance or a mechanical / technical role would be advantageous.
This role involves shift work and Saturday work (approx one Saturday weekend in every three). You will be on a rotating roster, alternating between night and day shifts on an 8 hour shift basis.

What You'll Do
Preparation and export of fermented products and raw materials for beverage production
Operation of equipment and machinery
Work closely with the maintenance team assisting in the preparation of equipment for repair & assist with troubleshooting
Ensure a high standard of housekeeping and hygiene is maintained ensuring that the plant is in an 'audit ready' state at all times
Conduct an appropriate handover of operations at every shift change to ensure that continuous production is achieved
Ensure safety standards are adhered to at all times
Report to the manager regarding stock to ensure continuity of production
