Job Title: Accounts Manager
We are partnering with a well-established solicitors firm in Kildare to recruit for the permanent position of Accounts Manager.
This is a full-time onsite role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all aspects of the firm's Client & Office banks, including online banking payments, cheque payments, lodgements, recording bank transactions on the accounts system, and reconciling all banks.
* Maintain petty cash, ensuring accurate records and compliance.
* Handle accounts payable by recording supplier invoices, managing payments, and addressing supplier queries.
* Manage accounts receivable, including client invoicing and credit control.
* Maintain client matter ledgers in accordance with Solicitors Accounts Regulations.
* Prepare compliance reports as per Solicitors Accounts Regulations.
* Process staff expenses and handle payroll, including ROS submissions and reporting.
* Manage VAT & VIES returns, including ROS submissions.
* Record and reconcile Land Registry, Court Franking, and CRO accounts.
* Submit Revenue Commissioners Stamp Duty returns.
* Supervise Accounts Assistant and outsourced bookkeeping support as required.
* Manage the Nominal Ledger, processing necessary journal entries.
* Prepare ad hoc reports for management.
* Liaise with external financial advisors and auditors.
Requirements:
* Accounting Technician or similar accounting qualification.
* 2-3 years' experience in a legal accounts position.
* Familiarity with Legal Accounting Systems, preferably Keyhouse Case Management & Sam Accounts System.
* Knowledge of VAT rates and VAT reporting obligations.
* Online banking process understanding.
* Awareness of solicitors accounts regulations.
* Proactive and professional attitude essential.
* Capable of working independently.
* Ability to interact effectively with staff at all levels.
