JOB SUMMARYThe Quality Control (QC) Specialist is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of products and processes within the organization. This role supports production by performing routine inspections, testing procedures, data analysis, and documentation to help maintain high standards in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESPerform routine and non-routine quality inspections, tests, and analyses of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.Review materials and products for adherence to quality standards, specifications, and regulations.Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; communicate results and escalate issues as needed.Maintain calibration and cleanliness of analytical equipment and machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, and R&D to troubleshoot quality issues and develop corrective actions.Assist in the evaluation and implementation of quality improvement initiatives and best practices.Support external and internal audits by preparing documentation and providing requested records.Maintain organized records of all inspections, tests, and corrective actions.Participate in the investigation of customer complaints related to quality and assist with root cause analysis.Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental regulations.EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.Minimum 5 years' experience in a quality control, quality assurance, or laboratory environment (industry-specific experience preferred).Working knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, GMP, GLP, or relevant).Experience with laboratory analytical instruments and test methods (e.g., HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, etc.) is an advantage.Strong attention to detail, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Effective written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
