KNOW THE ROLE
This role is offered on a specific purpose basis to provide maternity cover, supporting business continuity during a defined leave period.
The Digital Marketing Manager will lead the performance marketing strategy across Brown Thomas Arnotts’ digital platforms, driving qualified traffic, customer acquisition, loyalty growth, and app downloads to support revenue growth targets through data‑driven marketing initiatives.
This role is responsible for accelerating growth across key acquisition channels, including Paid Search, Paid Social, SEO, and Affiliate Marketing, with a strong focus on ROI optimisation, channel performance, and scalable strategies that deliver profitable and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of four channel specialists and external agency partners, setting priorities, removing blockers, and coordinating activity across paid and organic channels
Own traffic performance across Brown Thomas and Arnotts websites, providing reporting and insights to inform tactical and strategic decisions
Execute acquisition strategies to drive new customer growth, retention, repeat purchases, and revenue performance, while identifying emerging opportunities and risks in the retail landscape
Oversee SEO and content optimisation strategies to improve organic visibility, traffic, and performance
Use web analytics, customer insights, segmentation, and behavioural data to optimise campaigns, customer journeys, budgets, and ROI through a test‑and‑learn approach
Manage relationships with external agencies and strategic digital partners, including Google, Meta, and Rakuten
Collaborate cross‑functionally with Digital Trade, Data & Analytics, Brand Marketing, Digital Creative, and Finance to align acquisition activity with business goals
Own the paid media budget, including forecasting, phasing, allocation, and spend optimisation
Monitor and improve key commercial performance metrics, including ROI, CTS, CAC, and channel effectiveness
Deliver regular reporting and actionable insights on campaign performance, customer impact, traffic, and sales outcomes
KNOW WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business, or a related discipline
4+ years’ experience in a digital performance marketing management role, ideally within retail or ecommerce, including team leadership experience
Strong expertise in performance marketing channels, digital acquisition strategies, analytics, and emerging industry trends
Proven track record of managing external agencies and strategic digital partners to deliver performance outcomes
Highly commercial and analytical, with hands‑on experience using web analytics, reporting platforms, and data to drive decision‑making and optimise performance
Demonstrated ability to independently analyse data, generate insights, and self‑serve reporting to inform strategy and execution
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross‑functional teams
Excellent organisational, planning, and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast‑paced environment
Passion for ecommerce, digital marketing, customer acquisition, and growth
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to motivate teams and drive high performance in a dynamic environment
