Position: M&E Coordinator at Kilcawley Construction
As an M&E Coordinator, you will report directly to a Contracts Manager and assist Project Managers in procuring, managing, and handing over mechanical and electrical subcontractor scopes within large building projects. Your role involves ensuring the safe, timely execution of work in line with budget, schedule, and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Support Contracts and Project Managers to deliver mechanical and electrical services on projects valued from EUR 3m to EUR 20m.
2. Act as the primary contact for M&E subcontractors and the Design Team for queries.
3. Chair bi-weekly meetings with M&E contractors to review progress and schedule.
4. Review RFIs and submittals from M&E contractors, maintaining updated logs.
5. Oversee commissioning activities, especially for safety-critical systems, and monitor progress.
6. Manage snagging of M&E installations and record using iPad applications.
7. Coordinate M&E services within the building, including BIM coordination and producing installation drawings.
8. Produce builders' works (BwIC) drawings for service openings.
Health and Safety:
* Ensure safety-critical M&E installations are fully functional before handover.
* Support safe delivery of works in collaboration with Site Manager, H&S Advisor, and Contracts Manager.
* Report safety incidents as per company protocols.
* Contribute to the company's goal of Zero Harm on all sites.
Technical & Quality:
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction.
* Maintain technical understanding of HVAC, fire alarm, lighting, emergency systems, LTHW, electrical distribution, and commissioning.
* Coordinate with team members to ensure timely and accurate information flow.
* Resolve technical issues arising on site.
* Ensure work and materials meet specifications and standards.
Management:
* Act as the first point of contact for daily M&E queries.
* Coordinate with various project stakeholders to ensure successful completion.
* Monitor progress against schedules and escalate delays.
* Assist in producing and revising project programmes.
* Maintain professional conduct and protect company interests.
