Accounts Assistant Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team on a 12-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial support to the organisation, ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts and financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process sales invoices for new installations
* Set up new contracts for billing and process recurring invoices
* Prepare and process employee expense claims and company credit card reconciliations
* Manage fixed asset register and leased assets
* Prepare revenue returns (VAT, VIES, Intrastats)
* Support year-end processes, including audit preparation
* Assist with monthly management accounts preparation
* Provide general administrative and analytical support to the finance team
Requirements:
* Minimum of 2 years experience working in finance or accounting support role
* Accounting Technician Qualification or similar work experience
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general IT systems
* Good analytical skills and ability to multi-task
* Familiarity with accounting software
* Knowledge of VAT rules is an advantage
