Main Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough assessments of adults with communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
* Develop specialist dysphagia assessments and interventions tailored to acute inpatients' needs.
* Collaborate closely with patients with neurological conditions, including stroke, brain injury, and progressive neurological disease.
* Work effectively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive and coordinated care.
* Provide high-quality education and training to patients, families, and hospital staff.
* Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, contributing to service development initiatives.
Requirements:
* A recognised qualification in Speech & Language Therapy.
* CORU registration or eligibility.
* A valid dysphagia qualification.
* Relevant acute care experience.
* Experience in neurological rehabilitation, stroke care, and/or orthopaedics.
* Strong teamwork, communication, and organisational skills are essential.
