Job Title Electrical Design Engineer - Client-Side / Design Review About the Role We're looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join the client-side team on a major infrastructure project.
You'll be responsible for reviewing, checking, and approving electrical designs submitted by contractors and consultants, ensuring they meet the client's requirements, project specifications, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities Review and approve electrical designs submitted by contractors and consultants Ensure designs comply with Irish and EU standards, project specifications, and codes of practice Identify and flag any design issues or non-compliance, recommending corrective actions Provide technical advice to the client team and liaise with contractors and consultants Maintain detailed records of design approvals and decisions Attend project meetings and provide input on electrical design matters Support the client in ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality Requirements Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent 5+ years experience working on and approving electrical designs Strong knowledge of Irish and EU electrical standards and regulations Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Experience working on multidisciplinary design teams Familiarity with electrical design software (Auto CAD, Revit, or similar) What's on Offer Client-side role on a high-profile infrastructure project Opportunity to directly influence project quality and compliance Lucrative, long term day rate contract For more information on this Electrical Design role, contract Ronan Mc Inerney in Morgan Mc Kinley Skills: Electrical Engineering Electrical Design Electrical Project Management
