The Role
As a Software Automation Test Engineer, you will report to the Test Manager and play a key role in driving the creation and implementation of automation test solutions. Using both existing and emerging technologies, you will focus on continuous automation improvements to ensure high-quality product delivery.
This role is perfect for a motivated individual with a passion for automation and testing, who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Collaborate in sprint planning sessions, review use cases, and provide automation solutions and estimates.
* Analyse product requirements and create test coverage (manual and automated).
* Execute, troubleshoot, and maintain automation test suites.
* Report and investigate product issues, ensuring resolution and quality delivery.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of the automation framework.
* Configure test environments and manage data for automation execution.
* Work closely with scrum teams and product owners to ensure excellent testing coverage.
* Ensure consistent standards and maintain compliance with audit requirements.
What You’ll Need
* Degree in Computer Science or equivalent, with coding skills in C# or Java.
* Proven experience automating frontend and API testing.
* Hands-on experience with web and mobile application testing.
* Proficiency in automation tools like Selenium, SpecFlow, and Azure Pipelines.
* Experience with test case management and defect tracking tools.
* Knowledge of working within an Agile/Scrum environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Permanent residency in Ireland is required.
