ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will act as a key reliability leader within a cross‑functional team, driving risk‑based decision making and ensuring robust design, verification, and validation outcomes. Lead reliability engineering activities for the Raptor Program, providing strategic input into design, verification, and validation decisions. Define and execute reliability strategies, including reliability growth planning, testing approaches, and risk mitigation. Perform reliability analyses (e.g., FMEA, fault tree analysis, failure analysis) to assess product and process robustness. Drive Design Verification (DV), Test Method Validation (TMV), and shelf‑life testing strategies to ensure products meet performance requirements. Partner with cross‑functional teams (R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory) to ensure alignment on risk, testing, and program deliverables. Identify, elevate, and resolve reliability and technical risks early, ensuring appropriate mitigation and decision‑making. Support regulatory submissions, audits, and inspections, ensuring all reliability‑related deliverables meet compliance standards. Lead or support structured problem‑solving and root‑cause investigations for reliability issues. Communicate clearly with stakeholders, influencing decisions and driving accountability across the program.Key Skills & ExperienceAdvanced knowledge of the job area, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.Minimum Level8 degree in Engineering or other relevant discipline and at least 7years of relevant experience; alternatively an advanced degree with at least 5years of relevant experience.Practical knowledge of project management.Experience in a highly regulated industry, preferably medical devices.Experience with solving complex issues by interacting with cross‑functional groups.Proven ability to operate in a matrix organization and navigate complex business systems, regulations, standards, and performance requirements.Knowledge of reliability tools and practices that effectively support requirements, design, integration, verification, and validation.Demonstrated critical thinking skills with a focus on improved system performance outcomes and positive business impact.Excellent communication and influencing skills.Benefits & CompensationMedtronic offers a competitive salary and flexible benefits package.
