Program Manager Contract Role, Cork
My Client is looking for an experienced Program Manager to join their team. The Program Manager will plan and direct interrelated projects and ensure that programs will deliver business benefit.
3 days onsite in Cork City Centre.
The Job:
* Responsible and accountable for the realization of the intended outcome and value of the program by- Designing suitable projects to deliver the required outputs- Managing the costs to budget- Delivering the business benefits according to plan- Identifying project delivery risks and proposing mitigations as required- Managing project managers and utilizing steering boards for decision making
* Ensure the program and associated business case are scoped, initiated and approved according to required procedures
* Plan the program in a manner that delivers the component project outputs as and when needed to support the intended value of the business case
* Ensure the project managers execute and implement according to the plan or any agreed changes to the plan, and according to agreed program management standards
* Represent the program to senior governance and/ or steering bodies
* Ensure that program relevant risks, issues, actions, costs, schedules, benefits and other related artefacts are documented and tracked
* Ensure that the program work is compliant with documented standards, templates, and frameworks, and captured in agreed toolsets
* Manage and lead project managers and project resources
* Ensure the program closes according to required procedures
Have you:
* In general 10+ years of experience in managing large scale and highly complex projects/programs
* Demonstrable experience in leading complex transformation programs to successful conclusions
* Experience in a leadership/management role with material P&L accountability
* Experience in developing and tracking complex financial business cases
* Experience in negotiating commercially valuable outcomes
* Relevant experience working in the financial services industry
* Proven experience in mentoring and coaching teams
* Proven ability to effectively assess and mitigate program risks and dependencies
* Experienced in effectively communicating with and positively influencing diverse stakeholders and team members
* Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
* Strong analytical skills with an ability to work with and interpret financial data.
* Excellent knowledge of Excel
* Knowledge of PowerBI or similar tool would be a plus
* Experience as a Finance Business Partner to IT is desirable, but not essential
