Job Description
The LCV Sales Manager is responsible for driving the sales performance of light commercial vehicles, managing the LCV sales team, and ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service. This role focuses on growing market share, managing business-to-business (B2B) and fleet accounts, optimising stock and supply, and ensuring the dealership meets OEM and financial performance standards for commercial vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
* Sales Leadership & Strategy
Develop and implement strategies to achieve LCV sales targets (new and used).
* Team Management
Lead, train, and motivate the LCV sales team to meet individual and departmental objectives.
* B2B & Fleet Development
Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, fleet customers, and trade clients. Manage tenders, bulk sales, and corporate account opportunities. Provide tailored commercial vehicle solutions to suit specific customer needs (e.g. payload, conversions, finance).
* Customer Experience
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the buying journey. Resolve complex customer queries or complaints quickly and professionally. Oversee customer retention initiatives and aftersales handover.
* Operational Excellence
Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and prospecting activity. Collaborate with the service, parts, and logistics teams to ensure smooth vehicle preparation and delivery. Monitor and manage vehicle stock levels, lead times, and pre-registration plans.
* Reporting & Compliance
Report sales performance, KPIs, and forecasting data to senior management. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of LCV market trends, brand offers, and commercial vehicle legislation.
Qualifications & Skills
* Proven experience in LCV, B2B, fleet, or commercial vehicle sales (minimum 3–5 years).
* Strong understanding of vehicle specifications, payloads, conversions, and fleet requirements.
* Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
* Effective leadership and team development abilities.
* Commercially focused with strong business development skills.
* Competency with Dealer Management Systems (e.g. Kerridge, Keyloop, CDK) and CRM tools.
* Full driving licence
