You will cover core accounting responsibilities and commercial projects.RESPONSIBILITIES:Preparation of monthly management accounts with variance analysis and commentaryOversight of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in day-to-day transactions.Management of payroll processing in collaboration with external providers.Preparation of bi-monthly VAT returnsPreparation of budgets, forecasts and cashflow reports.Support with statutory accounts, external auditors for year-end accounts.Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and internal controls.Provide financial insights to support decision making within the businessGet involved in ad-hoc finance projects as the business continues to growQualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) and up to date on current accounting standards and practices, with experience within the retail sectorGood communication and networking skills across all levelsMust be able to demonstrate good attention to detail, good judgement showing logical decision making and a hands-on approachProven ability to develop and improve working procedures and processesHighly organised and efficient with ability to work under pressure, manage a diverse and competing workload ensuring deadlines are metIT literate, and proficient in Microsoft products.
